As Vietnam gradually pilots emission allowance allocations and operates its carbon market, greenhouse gas (GHG) emission data is playing an increasingly vital role in corporate management, production, and business operations. This data serves not only for environmental reporting but is also linked to compliance obligations, allowance trading, customer requirements, and emission reduction strategies.According to Consolidated Document No. 40/VBHN-BNNMT issued in 2026 by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, which consolidates regulations on GHG emission mitigation and ozone layer protection, verification means assessment of GHG emissions mitigation rate measurement result reports and other relevant information according to the methods issued by competent authorities.
